I recently watched this. Brutal Noir -- black as they come.
Highly recommended.

saw Prince of Persia today, wasn't great, wasn't that bad. its the kind of movie where, if there is nothing else on and you have some time to waste, it's watchable, like nothing else to do AT ALL.

it seemed really long though, like half way through it felt like two hours had passed.
the ending pissed me off. also the random change from desert to snowy mountain. oh and the whole slow down to watch him  backflip thing ok, i get it, he's like a fucking gymnast, move the fuck on already.

oh and the ending. did i mention the ending?

why would you tell the princess of the priests that betrayed her and told the evil dude about the time reversing dagger yoke? sure thats not important at all, it's not like the entire thing will happen again. retard. seriously, they might have finished with it was all a dream at that rate. oh and why wasn't the princess a bitch when she remet him and it was her first time? the actual first time they met she was like...blah blah blah spoiled confidence better than you. ok i get that they were destroying her city but they escaped together and she was still a total bitch. surely she was always like that?

and she was not the most beautiful woman i have ever seen, there are far more attractive women out there. it wasn't a case where your trying to figure out what happened to her face but at the same time you weren't like wow.

also, why didn't most of the actors look Persian?

Saw Prince of Persia.  Wasn't really looking forward to it but one of my gamer friends wanted to go and asked me to go with him.  It was about what I expected.  Way too long.  Jake Gyllenhaal doesn't pass for Persian.

The Crucible (1996), about the Salem Witch Trials, based on a play by Arthur Miller. Amazing acting, superb, only wish it were longer.

Probably my favorite Cohen brothers movie. Deliciously complex.

Valhalla Rising. Title suggests just another 'historical' action movie. It isn't. Weirdest film I've ever seen (I haven't seen enough films); beautiful cinematography, eerie and reassuring at the same time; never seen a film with so little dialogue.

About The Movie

Ip Man is adapted from the life story of Ip Man, the grand master of the Wing Chun
style kungfu. Wing Chun has a history of more than 200 years. It was founded by Yim
Wing-chin, took root in the hands of Leung Chun, and prospered with Ip Man.

Wing Chun Chuan is characterized by close body combat, requiring practitioners to
show speed and power. Its Chi Sao of sticking hands is more similar to modern day
combat skills and has a rich feel of genuine strikes. This is also why Ip Man differs
from the dazzlingly romantic and purely fictional style of previous martial art
movies. Its explosive punches and aggressive close-range combat offer a new thrill
never experienced by modern day audiences.

The story of Wing Chun began in the 1920s and 30s, in wartorn China. Ip Man was
martial arts unyielding follower, devoted whole-heartedly to the free learning of
wushu. The fight to be top between the Wushu schools in the southern and northern
regions of China had not stopped him having goodwill matches with other
practitioners. Nationalistic bad feelings and racial hatred had not lessened his
respect for Japanese martial arts warriors. In this great era of hatreds and
tragedies, Ip focused only on wushu. His enthusiasm for martial arts saw him having
devastating straight fights with various elite practitioners.

Ip Man represented a new peak in Hong Kongs wushu movies.

I really liked it.

IP Man 1 was good. IP Man 2 was just as good.

Just saw Switched. It was a cute movie. The little boy was even cuter.

Last film I seen in Prague. Funny as fuck. Shocking. Complex. Startling.

Can't wait to watch it again.
