Someone sent me a link to this forthcoming Czech animation. East Europeans make the best animation, none of that glossy rose tinted crap. At present I have no idea when the film will be released with subtitles, but watch this trailer and see if doesn't make you want to jump in and ride away. Has anyone else seen any tempting trailers lately?

Harry Potter. The end presented in two parts.

November 2010 - Part one
July 2011 - Part two

I hope I live long enough to see both parts.

I really want to see this new Jean-Pierre Jeunet film, but the closest it's playing is 45 minutes away in San Francisco.  Maybe I'll make a day of it.

Jim Thompson is one of my three favorite writers. I know there are two I like more,
I just can't seem to think of them.

This is a trailer from a movie released this year made from one of his more famous stories.

Is this the controversial film that has a really brutal and realistic scene where he beats a woman to death? It looks good anyway, I love small town America films (i.e. Fargo etc).

I'm hoping so. It's in the book.

In case you can't watch it - restricted because of mature subject matter -- Auschwitz fuck sake -- then here is a link:

Reading about this doesn't do it justice.
This film I'm seeing.
