New to this board and unfamilliar with certain procedures, may I invite anyone to read this partial chapter on plant akaloids and psychoactive drugs.  This is to be but one chapter in a book of general trivia and it is only 2/3 complete.   It can be found in my web space at the following link:

http://www.members.toast.net/bulfrog4/dir2/Crazy Plants.doc

In MS Word format to preserve the pictures.   Any constructive criticism would be welcome...

So how you feelin' 'bout givin' opinions on some of the efforts y'all read around here?

Heck.   Who am I.   I'm certainly no literary authority.   Besides, I'm fairly certain that writers here would not appreciate my opinion.   Opinions are like rectums - everybody's got one.   Here is an opinion some here might not embrace.
I don't care for potty-mouth.   I hear it, I think it and I use it myself every day.  I don't however, care to read it.    A little bit of cussing or foul language is OK - if it helps develop a character or a scene.   A little bit goes a long way though.   If I want to read dirty language then all I have to do is to visit a "Port -a-Potty" outhouse at the nearest construction site.   Ideally, literature (the written word) should aspire to a loftier plateau.
One of Granny's old truisms was:   "cussing is just a limited mind trying to express itself".   The older (hopefully wiser) I get, the more I agree.

I have another 'bone to pick' (opinion) with writing in the first person...

No one here is, to the best of my knowledge, a literary authority. I would appreciate your opinion. Not everything on Mary is cuss word written

First person writing aversion- could you expand on that a bit?

[I'm gonna assume the 'Who am I' is not one of those philosophical Zen things and leave it unaddressed.]

Like the lads from Liverpool once sang "...in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make."

Nick you've really gotten the hang of the quote function.

Thanks but, Truth be Told, I wouldn't have figured it out if F.L. hadn't pointed in the appropriate direction.
Gotta give credit where credit is due, ya know.

Good question. Who the fuck are you? You ask to come to Mary, then you
pout about a critique.

Like that one for instance?

Gosh. And leave Mary? What will we do?

So, that dick wipe George Carlin, and his seven words you can't say on television is sort of... pfffft. "un-literate"?

By the way? I've scanned your work enough to know I like a similar piece found
on the web here:

Mary takes a dim view of people who lift, and borrow ideas from others.

Care to retort?

I suspect your days may be limited here.
